Two striking pictures which sum up my week

I saw a documentary about the bleaching of the coral reef. The image which I chose for a cover picture for this post reminded me to the coral turning from colourful and alive to white, still and dead.

The second striking image, was of the Highways Team in South Gloucestershire. A piece of equipment used in a set up to rearrange traffic at a roundabout for utility works. The time and date on my image will show you that this equipment was being set out the night before a storm which was so bad that the children had been sent home from school the next day.

Smaller newer cars, have a much shorter stopping distance than vans, all kinds of vans, even car/vans. And the vans carrying workman’s tools. They take twice the distance to brake as a city car.
