Two striking pictures which sum up my week

I saw a documentary about the bleaching of the coral reef. The image which I chose for a cover picture for this post reminded me to the coral turning from colourful and alive to white, still and dead.

The second striking image, was of the Highways Team in South Gloucestershire. A piece of equipment used in a set up to rearrange traffic at a roundabout for utility works. The time and date on my image will show you that this equipment was being set out the night before a storm which was so bad that the children had been sent home from school the next day.

Something in the water

The new health secretary has been reported to be proposing adding fluoride to the water supply in the UK as we can’t be trusted to brush our teeth independently?

A graph to show the approval rating of support for Labour Minister Kier Starmer in 2020
I know we were fed up with the last health secretary….

But how long will the current one, stay in favour on the polls?

I like having nice clean teeth. Having extra fluoride in the water doesn’t bother me too much if it’s marginal.

Where to next, the Google Maps saga

95 percent of my Google Maps volunteer contributions were done painstakingly whilst discovering everywhere within a 10 -15 mile radius from where I live.

About 5% I put some photos onto company pages which had treated me inconsiderately.

Probably I shouldn’t have done.

I had to live next door to student accommodation building sites for 3 years, and during a lockdown.

The council said they had no funding for a more community oriented plan to be made for our area.

If you go to Hengrove in South Bristol the people there really don’t like all this developing more housing either.
