South of the Circle Heading to Nintendo Switch

South of The Circle is set as two timelines. Professors at Cambridge University at the time the Cambridge spies were being uncovered. And out in Antarctica where the professor is tasked with studying clouds and spying on nuclear weapon activity in the icey landscape.

I really appreciated the use of voice actors. A strong supporting female character and very genuine male in the role of professor, with PTSD.

You can wait for the game release, or download on Apple products. Otherwise the full gameplay in a movie experience on YouTube.

Peter’s relationship with Clara is romantic and also brings his emotional life into view. Clara experiences sexism from the University during the women’s suffrage.

Managing Stress 1

How do you approach stress, or are you suddenly having a stress attack?

I’m trying a few strategies this last few months, here’s what’s helping me.

  1. I’ve enjoyed some time gaming, I was fortunate enough to buy a second hand gaming console and having some screen time where I’m not on emails or connecting with anyone particular, I have found helpful.
  2. Breakfast socials with friends or family. Well it’s cheaper to have someone else cook and heat the place isn’t it?
  3. The gym. It is becoming less of a chore, more of a leisure pastime. I’ve even increased my time in the building from 17 minutes to 29!
  4. Writing, I still find writing in a journal with pen a good way to let go of thoughts which are bothering me.
  5. Staying in touch with friends by phone when the distance is too far with travel costs.
  6. Trying to be more assertive, and leave more moderate feedback about things I am concerned or interested in.
  7. Having enough jumpers, extra joggers and blankets
  8. E-learning – I was amazed to find my job has many modules which I hadn’t used which could help me find better work options.
  9. A budget
  10. Actually I tend to blow my budget frequently, so more acurate recording of expenditure and income is helping me manage better so I know when to save for bills like rent and utilities.
  11. Relying on our government to resolve things….

I’m having realistic expectations here. I expect to be entertained by the governments shenanigans

Playing Vigor with mum’s rules

So I found the eshop on Nintendo offers free to download games, and a few videos on YouTube later to shortlist top downloads, I found Vigor. An exploring, combat game which gives you the choice of collecting resources or combat or both!!

I’m trying my mum’s suggestion. To play Vigor, to collect valuable loot and to explore, to discover, without having to shoot one of the other outlanders.

So it involved ALOT of running away, although sometimes I accidentally ran towards the outlander who was shooting me.

My friend said, I am probably playing against some expert gamers, who obviously will want to shoot a beginner in the encounters.

Hey! I’m still learning here! But I am on level 9 now.
