Trouble in town
Because they cut my brother down
Because my sister can’t wear her crown
There’s trouble, there’s trouble in town
Blood on the beat (Oh-oh)
Oh my goodness, there’s blood on the beat
Law of the jungle or the law of the street
There’s blood on, there’s blood on the beat
Lord, when I’m broken (When I’m broken)
And I’m in need (I’m in need)
Feel that ocean (Feel that ocean)
Swallowing me (Swallowing me)
Head is hanging (Head is hanging)
So sorrowfully (So sorrowfully)
Oh Lord (Ooh-ooh)

An inappropriate or unappetising Easter spring holiday
The more palatable option of pastel colour bunnies, chicks and flying sheep and rainbows, with some more bunnies to pin tails onto seemed less likely to cause problems. Jesus however, his brutal murder, isn’t exactly marketing fodder. I remember one class assembly when a vivid description of him being beaten towards death set off a young lady into a seizure.
One of the group was sitting at their Easter lunch, picking from the buffet and pipes up ‘we are not joining in with the ramadan’ the muslims can’t eat until night time.
Another, difficult to translate into a practical exercise, concept.
Maybe if you were a college tutor,
Ask the class to agree not to eat or drink in daylight hours.
Arrange a local meeting point for an evening banquet every night.
Or a zoom, if someone can’t make it.
As much as it’s difficult to include the death of Jesus in Christianity and his extra supernatural reappearing. It’s also disappointing not to be able to join in with the contrast of total fasting and the coming together with a meal at 8pm.
I feel sort of ripped off by the poorly fitting easter hoop game, which didn’t stick together, so when the hoop landed on them, you had to glue the stick back on.
What about you?
Do you include faith stories and disciplines in your Easter break?

I really like the spring colours and life of the plants and gardens coming to life. And the people, re-awaking from the winter.
And returning to normal life, as best we can, in 2022.
A Moment in Time
A moment to reflect on recent outbreaks of war
To the solider
The civilian
The martyr
The victim
This is war
A moment of truth, and a moment to lie, a moment to live and to die
This is war
Do or die and the story goes
“I believe in music, its everything to me”
Holding onto many dreams ‘to see things, travel around the world’
Music is something you hold onto
Amazing that I’d video taped the two clips over 18 months ago and they fit together really well.
