I want to write today about how the job as carer or nurse type roles, make it really difficult to plan your diet and provide yourself with proper nutrition. Typically shifts are twelve hours, and its simpler to have two staff to rota for every 24 hours of continuous care needed, than to make shifts more human.
I remember a team leader who said ‘does anyone ever just go to the supermarket, buy a whole cake, and eat it in their car?’
Yes there was evidence of some binge eating, or emotional and boredom eating, by the other care workers I was alongside.
I’ve been going to the gym again and its been going well for me.
I’m hoping to reset my body into some better habits.
It’s Wednesday 27th July, I’m due at the City Hall of Bristol City Council to make my representation for the disruption caused by local Lakota night club.
First round, each side is offered a chance to speak.
Then the council members had to decide whether to go to a full review. Coffee was ordered, perhaps it wasn’t going to over quickly…
The committee decided to go for a full review.
Again the for and against side of the license agreement for the club had their slots to speak.
Then a councillor wanted to ask more questions, to clarify various things I and they said.
Although he seemed to be asking questions which seemed ‘good cop’ then ‘bad cop’.
Like in a job interview when you don’t get the job because you were under-qualified.
Whats worse drink spiking or laughing gas???
I wasn’t sure how much to add a reply, and a back and forth response was frowned upon by the councillor sitting opposite me. It wasn’t clear who was chair, and the councillor seemed to derail the meeting with …. drinks spiking topics.
Evidence from the neighbourhoods team, 9 other resident complaints. However residents had dropped out of the complaints process.
The lawyer for Lakota kept saying how without police evidence this meeting shouldn’t be happening.
Scroll back on my phone to the links for young people who died with overdoses and the assaults that happened inside the club.
After 5 hours, the club seemed to have escaped further restrictions. The councillor whose friend had their drink spiked, decided to extend their license so people can drink outside too.
Maybe the most satisfying aspect of the meeting was the length of time we all had to spend going over noise level monitors and CCTV. Look at the laughing gas industry sitting on their doorstep.

Example of types of items that sell well online – superhero and film collectables.
I’m really pleased with the work I’ve been doing on my eBay store, and that some more friends have been asking me to sell items for them. And how I’ve been developing my skills at photographing and presenting items.
